everyone can come to the therapist's office. Homebound and frail elderly
individuals find our mobile Housecalls Service an essential for support and
healing. No one expects medical disaster to strike. Healthy one
minute, and sudden dependence on high tech medical equipment the next. The
doctor says to a new parent, "There's a problem", instead of
"Congratulations!". Our treatment team helps individuals and
families meet the challenge of adjusting to sudden disability by blending a
background in medical social work with psychotherapy skills. We work with
the interdisciplinary medical team during the rehabilitation process and
continue after discharge to provide needed support during this time of pivotal
life change. Not all scars are physical. People with special needs
require professionals with specials skills. We assess the whole person,
and pay special attention to the areas of psychological and spiritual
healing. We also provide services for emotional support and adjustment to
families of young children with special needs.
